The Emergent Solutioning™ R.I.S.E. Framework was developed by two friends who serendipitously discovered they shared a common passion and interest in Complexity Management and Solution Focused Coaching.
The Emergent Solutioning™ R.I.S.E. Framework is a combination of both Complexity Management science and the evidence-backed Solution Focused Coaching methodology.
Darrel and Steven met when they were both pursuing their professional coach certifications back in 2018. During the course of their certification, they discovered that both Complexity Management and the Solution Focused methodology not only complemented each other almost perfectly but when combined, yielded tremendous synergies and impact.
They also realised that the Emergent Solutioning™ R.I.S.E. Framework isn’t just another framework or methodology, but a life philosophy to be embraced.
Immensely practical, effective, and life changing, Emergent Solutioning™ is about navigating the complex nature of the world we live in, how to draw on our resources and strengths, and adaptively manage complexity and uncertainty to propel us towards achieving our desired outcomes.

Darrel is an ICF accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and a Certified Solution Focused Coach (CSFC) registered with the Canadian Council of Professional Certifications (CCPC Global).
Darrel has a diverse 19-year career in various roles of leadership, strategy formulation, and programme development spanning across all three non-profit, public and private sectors. Darrel currently oversees the life coaching programme in the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) for more than 17,000 students. He is also co-author of two books: “Colabs: A Community-Based Approach For Collaborations” and “Sparkling Moments: Stories of Solution Focused Brief Coaching at Work”.
Darrel has coached leaders from public service, private sector, and entrepreneurs. Steven is an ICF accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and a Certified Solution Focused Coach (CSFC) registered with the Canadian Council of Professional Certifications (CCPC Global).
He has over 22 years of corporate experience leading and managing regional and global teams, and he brings his wealth of experience into all his coaching engagements.
With over 1000 hours of coaching, Steven has coached a wide spectrum of mid and senior professionals including CEO, COO, CFO, CISO, MD, Heads of Departments, Senior Leaders, and Senior Medical Consultants (Specialist Medical Doctors), from both the public and private sectors. Some of the organisations he has worked with include Menarini Asia Pacific, Microsoft, Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, General Electric, WeWork, and Ministry of Health Holdings (MOHH).
Steven has been interviewed multiple times on SPH’s Money89.3 and MediaCorp’s 938FM and has appeared as a Guest Speaker in multiple HR events locally and overseas.
